Double or Nothing:
How To Play Texas Holdem Poker Strategy and Double Your Money.
If you're going to play Double or Nothing online, you need another kind of Texas Holdem poker online strategy that'll let you win. In fact, according to a casino Double or Nothing player, it's a must if you're going to win any money from it.
Here's the gambler's view on the game: "When I first saw the game Double or Nothing, I immediately thought I found the game that could increase my account. I was, after all, pretty decent at the regular sit-n-go games and had done pretty good in different kinds of tournaments. I quickly found out that Double or Nothing is different. I went straight into the game playing as I normally would and noticed that my stack was fading very, very fast. I learned very quickly that you cannot bully your way through this game, as it will end in total catastrophe.
The point of Double Or Nothing is not to devastate your opponents and take the big stack but to survive longer than the other players sitting with you.
Don't know how to play Double Or Nothing or what the game actually is?
Here's an explanation: Basically, it's a single 10-seat table Texas Holdem game with a bit of a twist. Ignore the casino rake, the buy in will probably be around $10. The game ends when five people are removed from the game and receive nothing. The remaining five will double the buy-in and walk away with $20 a piece. As far as playing, it's like any other sit-n-go game.
When you're playing Double or Nothing, you need to steer clear out trouble and survive. You don't need to place pressure on other players like you would in standard casino games. I've been able to win lots of games just sitting back and letting other players have a go at one another. The majority of players will try to dominate the table like pros tend to do but this move is very wrong. Sure, they may walk away a winner but they're taking chances to do that. I love watching what they do while I play the game just under the radar. Not only should you watch at how they play, you need to watch the size of their stack. If you're getting good cards and the people in the game with you have larger stacks than you do, it's best to walk away.
There are going to be five winners so you shouldn't put yourself at risk by playing against a group of people who can make you put all your money in. Go for people who have small stacks. When you play the game carefully, you can rest assured that at least two, if not, three people will have stacks that are smaller than you, which means you can play against them and not be pushed against the rail.
Say the person is sitting two seats behind, is short stacked and blind. You have nothing but the ante in the pot. However, the big blind cuts are cutting deeply into what chips are remaining in the short stacks' hands. If you haven't bet and nobody has bet before you, your goal is to remove the blind and make him/her fold. If someone's already betted and has lots of chips that worries the short stack players, then it's best to walk away from the game now.
Regardless if I could cover the bet and have good cards in my hand, I may walk away and let the big guy do battle with the short stack. Even if the short stack calls and actually wins, he/she will double up. If I was in, it's possible he/she will trip up and lose."
Remember Double or Nothing is played differently than regular games of poker and the Texas Holdem strategy won't work many other places but with this game, it works wonderful. Don't play tons of hands and let all the other players beat one another.
